Prior to commencing a mediation practice in 2005, Mr. Sabin’s professional practice since he was admitted to practice in 1966 was in litigation. He has tried between 75 and 100 cases to juries in most counties in New Mexico state courts and in the Federal Courts. The majority of the trials involved claims of personal injury or death or significant property damage. Most of those cases arose out of automobile accidents, oil field accidents, construction defects and premises liability.
Since about 2005 Mr. Sabin has focused on an ADR practice. He has conducted over 150 mediations in civil cases, most involving personal injury or death, but also including other areas such as business disputes, estate disputes, and land use disputes.
