Judge Nash spent twelve years of her judicial career assigned to the civil bench where she had an active caseload of 1400 cases. In 2014 and again in 2017 Judge Nash was elected to the position of Chief Judge by her fellow judges and served in that role until shortly before her retirement.
Since retiring from the bench, Judge Nash has developed an active mediation and arbitration practice. She has mediated over six hundred cases and served as arbitrator or special master in another fifty cases.
In addition to other awards and recognition Judge Nash was awarded the Seth D. Montgomery Distinguished Judicial Service Award in 2019, the Justice Mary Walters Award in 2017, the State Bar Outstanding Judicial Service Award in 2007 and Governor’s Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women in1999.
